This Director will be responsible for coordinating day programming services for seniors and adults with disabilities. The Community Center Director (“Director”) is responsible for the facility’s day-to-day operations, the assigned staff, and all attending individuals. As a strategic partner and valued senior management team member, the Director is also charged with the facility’s overall growth and development and its transition into a multipurpose community site. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the full capacity of programmatic resources.
- Promote and demonstrate ethical and professional conduct, ensuring employees conduct themselves ethically and professionally.
- Focus on providing opportunities for participants to increase engagement—social and leisure skills.
- Manage the program’s day-to-day operations, ensuring that it meets Delta’s standards for service delivery.
- Promote continuous quality improvement projects and ongoing performance measures.
- In collaboration with the team and individuals being served, assist with developing, implementing, updating, and reviewing individual support plans that are strengths-based and person-centered.
- Attend all necessary meetings to support and coordinate services provided to the program participants.
- Ensure all necessary documentations are completed within the timeframe per ODP regulations and standards
- Master’s Degree or above from an accredited college or university & one (1) year of work experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities;
- Or a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university & two (2) years’ work experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities;
- An Associate’s Degree or sixty (60) credit hours from an accredited university or college and four (4) years’ experience supervising community-based programs working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
- Valid driver’s license in the state of residence
