Mine Plant Laborer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Plant Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical maintenance and fabrication, preferably in a rock crusher environment. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience in mechanical maintenance and fabrication (preferred).

· Previous experience in a rock crusher environment is a plus.

· Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

· Ability to inspect all equipment and report necessary repairs or damage.

· Commitment to workplace safety, including performing routine safety inspections.

· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

· Must be 18 years or older and meet all minimum employment requirements.

· Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES· Perform routine maintenance, including lubricating, oiling, and cleaning all plant areas.

· Conduct maintenance and repairs on:

• Screens and crushers
• Motors, bearings, pulleys, and gearboxes
• Screen decks and panels
• Drive belts, conveyor belts, idlers, and scrapers

· Operate welding equipment as needed for cutting, welding, and fabricating parts.

· Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with safety and security standards.

· Communicate effectively and follow instructions accurately.

· Work efficiently both independently and in a team environment.

· Occasionally climb and descend ladders.

· Adhere to OSHA and MSHA regulations and guidelines.

· Load and unload supplies and materials as needed.

· Perform cleanup tasks and assist in additional duties as required.

· Comply with all company policies and procedures.

· Represent the company in a professional and safe manner.

· Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends or night shifts if necessary

· Other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS· Exposure to varied weather conditions, including, but not limited to wet and humid environments.

· May encounter dust, airborne particles, fumes, and vibrations.

· Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. without assistance.

· Must be physically capable of bending, stooping, squatting, climbing, kneeling, reaching, gripping, and crawling.

· Work in dusty and dirty environments.

· Exposure to loud working conditions; participation in the company’s hearing conservation program is required.

· Flexibility to work weekends shifts as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.60 - $27.30 per hour
