Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for the position of Estimator for a heavy civil contractor in Wildwood, FL
Estimator Compensation & Benefits:
Annual salary for the Estimator is $110,000 per year, and total compensation including benefits, allowances and bonus' far exceed the stated salary.

Estimator Duties and Responsibilities
- Review project plans and analyze the specifications, schematics, and drawings.
- Complete take-offs, scope work to appropriate subcontractor prepare estimates and proposals.
- Assist with scheduling, job layout, and change order preparation.
- Track progress of multiple bids and bid results.
- Responsible for project engineering duties such as RFI's and submittals and procurement of projects that are won.
- Oversee and manage change orders during project.
- Oversee and manage project closeouts at completion.
- Deliver accurate and timely estimates/bid proposals to clients.
- Travel to sites and client locations to review bids and inspect current conditions at job sites.
Estimator Qualifications:
- Five to seven years' experience in a similar role, estimating heavy civil, earthworks, mass excavation, land development, site development, and underground utilities.
- A 4-year degree in construction management or civil engineering highly preferred, but not required.
- Proficient knowledge of heavy earthwork, deep excavation, mass infill.
- Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid, Heavy Job, MS Office Suite.
- General knowledge of construction equipment applications.
- Create and maintain relationships with colleagues, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Understanding of Geotechnical work.
- Highly proficient with computers, software, and numerous applications.
- Valid Driver’s License.
