Position Summary :
The Electrical Estimator is responsible for electrical estimate preparation for fabrication and installation of pumping stations, process facilities, pipelines, storage tank facilities, fire & gas systems, and control systems. The incumbent develops project budgets, evaluates project plans and specifications, writes proposals, creates bids, and manages all aspects of the electrical bidding process. Analyzes bid documents to determine scope of work and profitability for the company. Identifies alternative strategies to create strategic bid advantages. The Electrical Estimator represents the company, ensuring adherence to quote requests and accuracy of bids in the company's best interest. The incumbent develops and maintains a positive and professional relationship with clients and vendors.

Essential Job Functions :
Reviews bid documents such as Scope of Work, Project Specifications, and design drawings to determine scope of work to be estimatedDevelops accurate, competitive, and profitable bid proposalsEstimates projects for competitive value, while taking into account specific job conditions that may affect labor, material, and installationDevelops material takeoffs from the bid documents and requests quotes from material and equipment vendors and suppliersParticipates in estimating meetings, project meetings related to bid status and keep management abreast of status, and potential issuesPresents and resolves conflict or problems during the bidding processConducts close out procedures and post project reviews to maintain efficiency and ensure continued workflowProvide input and methodology to support development of estimate and project schedulesAssist in the development of written work execution plans in support of work scope estimatedOther duties as assigned.Required Minimum Qualifications :
Education : High School diploma or GED required. Post-Secondary education preferred.Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, preferred.Three (3) years' experience as a full-time electrical estimator for an electrical contractor Proficiency with the WinEst estimating software program preferred, or such programs as Timberline, ConEst, Accubid.10 years electrical craft experience preferredPost Job Offer Requirements :

Comprehensive knowledge and experience in preparing cost estimates within the oil and gas industryUnderstanding of basic Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and the ability to accurately assign estimated items to the established WBSProficiency with electrical bids from $50K to $5M, for commercial and industrial projectsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite Programs such as; Excel, Word, OutlookAbility to set and balance priorities in order to complete projects on timeAbility to make decisions and recommend appropriate course of action in difficult situationsAbility to communicate effectively, both written and verbalAbility to handle stress and possess positive characteristics even in difficult or challenging situationsAbility to attend training sessions, seminars and appropriate educational classes required by departmentAbility to train personnel in estimating processes and software as requiredDemonstrated excellent written and oral communication skillsComputer skills commensurate with program and job applicationsMust know MS Office products : Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Must be self-motivated, punctual, and able to work independentlyMust be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow up skillsAbility to collaborate with internal and external team members or customers in a professional demeanorAbility and willingness to work hours as needed to meet or exceed deadlinesPhysical Demand / Work Environment :
