Description:
The Electrical Foreman is responsible to plan, supervise and perform implementation of large electrical projects. The incumbent will manage teams of Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians, providing on-site direction and leadership to complete jobs within specific guidelines and ensuring all work is done in accordance with relevant local, state, federal and site-specific rules and regulations while maintaining safety standards.
Schedule: 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off
- 7 days per week, 11.5 hours per day
- 80.5 hours per week

Licensing Information and Requirements:
- Alaska Electrical License required
- License from recognized reciprocal states, Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Oklahoma, Montana, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wyoming, Texas

Essential Job Functions:
- Plans, supervises and performs all phases of installation, maintenance, repair and inspection of electrical systems
- Inspects installations for quality, ensuring codes are met
- Provides customer and client with cost estimate of proposed electrical installation, repair and/or maintenance
- Performs cost estimates and projections for electrical projects
- Reviews and evaluates electrical procedures
- Evaluates employees' progress, trains and mentors new team members
- Ensures project remains under-budget and proper quality equipment and tools are utilized
- Maintains a proper record of completed tasks and the methods used to achieve goals and objectives
- Ensures all work is conducted in accordance with NEC and NFPA requirement as well as local, city, state, and national electrical codes, and all Company and Client standards.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, or Equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
- Four (4) years' experience as licensed Journeyman Electrician
- NSTC, North Slope Training Certificate

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge and experience with power tools, electrical equipment and construction equipment
- Knowledge of electrical codes
- Knowledge of proper electrical equipment use conducive to conditions and assignments including adherence to Hazardous Materials and Safety Regulations
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, operational and mechanical systems including installation, test, maintenance and repair
- Understanding of how electrical system operates under normal and emergency conditions
- Understanding of electrical schematics, diagrams and blueprints
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Skilled in repair of electrical equipment, wiring, and other fixtures.
- Strong mechanical, analytical and solution driven skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Etc.)
- Basic math skills
- Strong troubleshooting ability
- Ability to diagnose system malfunctions, locate cause of breakdown and recommend solution
- Ability to recognize and respond to dangerous situations or emergencies such as high voltage systems, electrical fires, loose hot wires, broken power lines, etc.
- Ability to give direction and oversight to helpers and apprentices
