The Electrical Superintendent reports directly to the Project Manager and is responsible for supervising employees during work hours and providing supervision of all electrical activities. The incumbent is required to ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and comply with statutory and client requirements.

- Ensures that employees’ work activities are carried in accordance with the applicable codes, standards and specifications and company's methodologies and procedures
- Provides technical advice, guidance and recommendations to employees
- Oversees erection and installation of electrical work activities
- Assigns daily work activities to electrical crew
- Conducts routine surveillance of all electrical activities
- Is proactive in projecting any adverse impact on the scheduling and delay of productivity
- Monitors and reports all electrical progress and acquires necessary documents and approvals to ensure continued workflow
- Other duties as assigned
- 8 years of electrical experience in industrial construction.
- 5 years’ Electrical Supervisory experience in Oil and Gas Industry
- Personnel Management experience
- Valid Driver License with clean driving record
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) Safety Training
- Take and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Take and pass a Fit-for-Duty Examination
- Comprehensive knowledge of Industrial Electrical Construction processes, procedures, standards and specifications
- Knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, operational and mechanical systems including installation, test, maintenance and repair
- Knowledge and experience in the use of power tools, testing equipment, test lamps, measuring devices, power construction equipment
- Knowledge of proper electrical equipment use conducive to conditions and assignments including adherence to Hazardous Materials and Safety Regulations
- Skilled in repairing/fixing electrical equipment, wiring, hand or power tools and other fixtures
- Ability to recognize and respond to dangerous situations or emergencies such as high voltage systems, electrical fires, loose hot wires, broken power lines etc.
- Ability to diagnose system malfunctions, locate cause of breakdown and correct the problem or recommend solution
- Ability to set and balance priorities to complete projects on time
- Ability to make decisions and recommend appropriate course of action in difficult situations
- Ability to communicate effectively as a supervisor both verbal and written
- Ability to handle stress and possess positive trait even in difficult or challenging situations
- Ability to attend training sessions, seminars and appropriate educational classes required by department
- Computer skills commensurate with program and job applications
