Job Title: Electrical Superintendent
The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for supervising electrical maintenance activities within active industrial facilities, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with statutory and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Maintenance Oversight: Supervise electrical maintenance activities, including installation, repair, and modifications to electrical systems within operating facilities.
- Safety and Energy Isolation Compliance: Enforce safety standards and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and other energy isolation practices.
- Planning and Coordination: Schedule and coordinate electrical tasks, considering ongoing operations and minimizing disruption to facility processes.
- Technical Guidance: Provide support for complex tasks, such as electrical integration with process piping, rigging, and demolition work in brownfield environments.
- Quality Control: Ensure all electrical work meets project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Change Management: Manage field-level changes to scope, costs, and schedules, especially those arising from modifications in active facilities.
- Client Liaison: Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on electrical maintenance activities and address any concerns.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Oversee subcontractors performing specialized electrical work, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices to enhance the reliability and safety of electrical systems, focusing on minimizing risks in hazardous environments.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred.
- Work Experience: Five (5) years of electrical supervisory experience in industrial maintenance, with a focus on complex installations and brownfield projects.
- Certifications: OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, or other relevant safety certifications. Valid Master or Journeyman electrician license (as applicable for the location).
- Skills: Technical Expertise, Safety Leadership, Problem Solving, Communication Skills.
