Description:

Per Diem: $35 - $70 per day ($210 - $420 per week)

Schedule: 4 weeks ON 2 weeks OFF

• 50 hours per week (opportunity for more)
• 36 weeks ON and 17 weeks OFF (22% MORE TIME OFF!)

Essential Job Functions:

• Ensures crews are on site, prepared and equipped to perform their assignments
• Ensures efficient and safe operation of tools/equipment
• Trains and mentors new crew members
• Surface prep by media blast, power tool, and or hand tool.
• Select and prepare appropriate coatings and adhere to product specifications.
• Interpret and implement client specifications and coatings processes.
• Spray paint or hand paint mechanical piping and support.
• Adjust Supports to allow for proper coating application.
• Inspect coating quality, viscosity, and paint flow.
• Produce coatings inspection reports for atmospheric readings, surface prep and application data.
• Dispose and handle hazardous waste materials safely within standards, and properly clean tools after use.
• Operate hand and power tools common to painting equipment.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, or Equivalent
• Three (3) years painting experience; industrial industry preferred
• Current and valid driver’s license, with clean driving record
• Current OSHA 10 and Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) certificates or be able to obtain upon hire

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

• Knowledge and experience with equipment maintenance to include repairs and inspections to identify possible problems
• Knowledge of proper equipment use conducive to conditions and assignments including adherence to Hazardous Materials and Safety Regulations
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Skilled in the use of position specific equipment and airless paint sprayers
• Strong civil construction, analytical and solution driven skills
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Etc.)
• Strong troubleshooting ability
• Ability to give direction and oversight to helpers
