Essential Job Functions
- Use and maintain sewing equipment (e.g., Juki DNU 1541) to assemble and sew insulation blankets with accuracy and consistency.
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to specific project requirements and blueprints.
- Inspect and ensure all fabricated blankets meet our company's high-quality standards, including durability, measurements, and finishing details.
- Work with various insulation materials such as ceramic fiber, silicone cloth, and other textiles used in fabrication.
- Follow safety procedures when handling materials, using equipment, and completing all fabrication tasks. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Identify and troubleshoot sewing machine malfunctions, minor mechanical issues, and quality concerns promptly and efficiently.
- Suggest improvements to processes and techniques to enhance production efficiency and quality.
- High school diploma required.
- Experience operating sewing machines.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with various fabrics including insulation materials and high-temperature materials. Familiarity with cutting tools, patterns, and blueprint reading.
- Ability to work with precision and consistently produce high-quality finished products.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, collaborate with team members, and communicate effectively.
- Capability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Previous experience in a fabrication shop environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Advanced knowledge of sewing process and methods
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the different type of tools involved in sewing machines
- Knowledge of design, principles and technical plans such as blueprints and patterns
- Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and Safety Regulations and industry practices related to materials and equipment use and operation
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to use time efficiently in order to complete projects/assignments on time
- Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
- Ability to handle stress and possess positive attitude even in difficult or challenging situations
