Finance Manager

Delta Dallas is supporting a client in a faith-based organization in their search for a Finance Manager . This position oversees financial management and bookkeeping services while assisting in developing strategies, implementing financial policies, monitoring trends, and performing routine accounting functions. The Finance Manager works closely with leadership to ensure financial operations align with the organization???s mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities
General Administration
Manage confidential and sensitive information in compliance with policies and regulations.
Assist in preparing and analyzing the annual budget, ensuring compliance with deadlines and policies.
Deliver monthly budget and variance reports, guiding teams through the budget preparation process.
Parish Council Support
Prepare and securely store financial reports for official councils.
Serve as a secondary point of contact for financial reporting, adhering to confidentiality requirements.
Finance & Accounting
Ensure compliance with established financial policies and procedures.
Maintain bookkeeping systems, including accounts payable, receivable, and financial statements.
Reconcile accounts, prepare payroll accruals, and manage vendor payments.
Oversee monthly and year-end close processes, including journal entries and tax filings.
Prepare reports for Finance Council meetings and respond to related inquiries.
Support audits by organizing and presenting financial records.
Record Retention
Securely maintain records, including correspondence, financial documents, and audit materials.
Ensure compliance with document retention policies.
Requirements
Accounting degree preferred or equivalent education and experience.
Proven bookkeeping experience with knowledge of GAAP.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and familiarity with accounting software (SAGE Intacct preferred).
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines.
Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.
Bilingual (Spanish / English) is desirable but not required.
