Job Description

The Regulatory Compliance Analyst is responsible for researching, monitoring, and interpreting Federal, State, and local laws and regulations to support and ensure enterprise-wide compliance. This role conducts ongoing assessments of regulatory and contractual obligations and assists in developing and communicating related updates and guidance across the organization. The Analyst also prepares, executes, and submits regulatory filings and supports various compliance-related projects and tasks.

This is a hybrid position that requires in-office presence at either our Georgia, Pennsylvania, or Northern California office, for meaningful events such as town halls, team collaboration, volunteering, and team building activities.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit insurance documents, policy forms, filings, and product-related information to regulatory agencies and auditors via industry portals.
  • Review and address regulatory objections or deficiencies by drafting clear communications and collaborating with internal business units on responses.
  • Communicate state-specific regulatory changes and implications to internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in low-to-moderately complex regulatory activities to support timely and consistent compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with auditors and regulatory bodies to support the organization's compliance posture.
  • Conduct regulatory research and collaborate with business partners to develop strategies for filings related to forms, rates, networks, and entities.
  • Review policies, records, marketing materials, and communications to ensure compliance before publication or distribution.
  • Monitor evolving insurance laws and regulatory trends; identify potential impacts and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Support ongoing compliance monitoring, testing, and reporting efforts.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to operationalize the Compliance Management Program and related processes.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years of experience in a compliance, regulatory, or legal environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in health insurance regulatory compliance
  • Familiarity with insurance product filings and regulatory submission processes

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Solid understanding of the healthcare industry and insurance terminology
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret complex regulations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines
  • Experience with regulatory submission portals and tracking systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Familiarity with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw) and collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships across teams
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and open to feedback and continuous learning

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications, and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.

Pay Grade 19. $63,700 - $133,500
