- Develop and lead community programs to further the Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation’s strategic goals and objectives.
- Coordinate program activities, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners to facilitate program execution.
- Communicate the foundation’s funding priorities, funding opportunities, and grant application procedures to applicants and grantees.
- Assist prospective grantees in developing ideas that may be used for potential grants.
- Identify technical assistance needs of grantees and manage assistance with outside resources.
- Represent Delta Dental at community events, meetings, and other public forums.
- Work with community partners to schedule outreach events for Delta Dental participation.
- Coordinate Delta Dental staff volunteer opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with HR to track Delta Dental staff volunteer hours for reporting purposes.
- Prepare and distribute information and other pertinent materials, including all supplies, for outreach events.
- Work with community partners to coordinate the delivery of oral health treatment and education activities as needed.
- Collect and analyze data on program participation and community feedback.
- Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders to share program outcomes, challenges, and successes and inform future initiatives.
- Establish metric to evaluate program effectiveness and use data to refine and improve program strategies and outreach efforts.
- Provide information for benchmarking reporting as requested.
- Prepare action items and feedback from outreach events to report on the quality and effectiveness of our outreach and education initiatives.
- Analyze grant proposals to ensure alignment with corporate and Foundation strategic objectives and Grant Guidelines. Complete grant application review using the foundation’s cloud-based grant management system.
- Monitor the progress of Foundation-supported grants through site visits and regular grantee communication, and progress assessment.
- Work with internal communications staff to ensure coverage of the foundation’s activities and develop new materials and educational resources. This includes creating promotional materials and content for community programs and events.
- Work collaboratively to develop correspondence, presentations, programs, reports, and website and social media content.
- Work with Executive Director and Foundation staff on other assignments as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, social work, public health, public relations, or a related field (Master’s preferred). A minimum of five years combined experience in nonprofit/foundation management, program management, business operations, community outreach, or a related role. Will accept suitable combination of education, training and experience.
- Position requires a broad knowledge of community health issues; experience in the oral health field, public relations, communications, and grant management is a plus.
- Position requires a proven track record of successful program management and community engagement; commitment to making positive impact; ability to work well with people of diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and cultures.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to work as part of a team.
- Understanding of oral health issues and challenges facing communities in Arkansas.
- Good organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with social media platforms and grant management software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, limited travel, as needed.
