Delta Dental of Kentucky is looking for a dynamic individual to fill the role of Billing Associate in our Louisville, Kentucky office.
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for handling and responding to incoming billing inquiries in a professional and efficient manner to ensure timely and accurate billing compliance. Inquiries may consist of phone calls, written correspondence, emails, and/or internal requests.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Process the system-generated invoices in a timely manner for group and COBRA clients
- Review and process billing email notifications
- Generate and provide any manual reporting required by clients
- Follow up on any group set-up issues involving the invoicing of a group
- Maintain accurate records of billing details
- Track and supervise processing of the ACH collection files from creation to delivery to the bank, noting amounts and counts
- Create deposits corresponding to the ACH receipts
- Communicate any group issues to marketing staff and serve as the billing liaison for specifically assigned groups
- Provide courteous, professional, and quality service to clients, group administrators, and other designees in a timely manner
- Process the daily lockbox file assignments
- Work issues that arise tied to the above responsibilities, using problem solving and analytical skills to determine the appropriate course of action, and inform Manager of recommendation(s) for problem resolution
Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above.
Minimum Qualifications:
Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in billing, collections, or cash posting. Prior experience in insurance billing operations preferred. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
Position requires excellent math and analytical skills; ability to respond quickly and accurately to written and verbal requests by customers in a professional and positive manner; strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines; ability to work independently and in a team environment; intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel applications.
