Position Description:
This role supports and consults with all departments, Enterprise-wide, plans, and oversees automated rule-based projects by leading in the analysis, development, and testing of business rules in the Enterprise Technology Solution (ETS) claims system.
The goal is to ensure claims processing is in accordance with client contracts and administrative processing policies.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Develops, executes, and oversees project assignments, defines procedures and processes, and assists in defining solutions to ensure claims are processed accurately and new products are implemented accordingly.
- Assists in defining business requirements and participates in the review of system design, user acceptance testing, and implementation procedures.
- Evaluates and communicates the impact changes may have on various departments within the Enterprise.
- Works directly with IT staff clarifying business requirements in the resolution of defects or implementing new enhancements related to business rules, ETS, or other applications within the Enterprise.
- Analyzes and implements rule enhancements improving the efficiency and accuracy of claims processing.
- Provides support to business users within the Enterprise resolving complex problems related to business rules and claims processing.
- Creates documentation summarizing the business impacts related to system enhancements and defect resolution for the business users.
- Develops and conducts presentations, meetings, and training sessions with internal and external customers to explain procedures, system functions, and business rules processes.
- Organizes, updates, and implements departmental/Enterprise procedure manuals and claims processing reference materials.
- Assists management staff in development of department strategies, goals, and objectives.
Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above.
Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field, and five years of experience analyzing, developing, or testing business rules for the administration of benefit contracts, auditing dental claims, or documenting or training on dental office processes or procedures.
Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
Position requires advanced knowledge of project management approaches and techniques, as well as complex business processing knowledge; resolve complex problems and use independent judgment; effective verbal and written communication skills; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to handle multiple projects; ability to work off hours to support system maintenance; advanced knowledge with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software.
