Job Summary
Delta Dental of New Jersey, Inc. located in Parsippany NJ is currently seeking a Product Strategy and Development leader to join our team. This full time, hybrid position (PSD) is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive product strategies to drive sales volume and achieve ROI targets. This role involves managing key products throughout their lifecycle, including P&L impact, and playing a crucial role in the company's transformation efforts. The PSD will lead cross-functional teams, serve as an internal SME, and partner with various departments and third-party providers to ensure product success.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Assess market segment needs and identify product development opportunities.
- Translate market needs into product requirements and develop business cases.
- Support the creation of a product-market roadmap and evaluate external alliances.
- Achieve growth, revenue, ROI, and financial sustainability targets.
- Manage select business lines and structure external partnerships.
- Leverage market research to enhance products and features.
- Provide regular product and market status updates to senior management.
- Understand the impact of laws, regulations, and market dynamics on products.
Essential Qualifications:

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, strong financial and analytical skills, superior research and presentation skills, effective communication, and strong project management.
- Physical Abilities: Ability to perform extensive keyboard and PC work, walk, talk, hear, and occasionally stand and reach.
- Experience: 5-7 years in health insurance/healthcare, product development, management, and marketing. Preference for dental or health plans experience.
- Education: BA/BS, MA/MS in Business, Public Policy, Health Administration, or Policy Administration preferred.
- Certifications: Insurance and benefit industry designations (e.g., CEBS) preferred.
