Job Summary
We are seeking a part-time individual to join our team, 20 hours a week, in our CT office located in Glastonbury, CT. Schedule will be discussed during our interview process.
We would consider a College student seeking part-time work, or someone ready to return to the workforce.
This Administrative Support Associate performs administrative and office support activities for multiple team members in the Sales Department. Duties may include fielding telephone calls, handling research and inquiries, and other support functions. Extensive software skills are required as well as internet research abilities and strong communication skills.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with sales team members, including Account Executives, Account Managers, and Service Coordinators to support their needs
- Create, update, distribute, and maintain group plan documents at the request of the Account Executives and Account Managers
- Prepare, update, assemble, and ship group benefit materials for Open Enrollment meetings, both locally and nationwide
- Handle and follow-up on daily tasks and requests – such as broker report requests, benefit overviews, booklet requests, AE letters, and renewal rates – received via email or phone from sales team, brokers, and other departments
- Proactively utilize Salesforce (CRM) to track requests, update information, and manage data efficiently in support of the sales team activities
- Assist associates with the RFP process by ensuring proper documentation is used in the preparation of RFP binders
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of all software and equipment used in the Sales Department
- Manage inventory of promotional materials for distribution to brokers and clients
- Collect, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail within the office to ensure timely delivery of documents and correspondence
- Comply with all Delta Dental policies and guidelines regarding handling of Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and quickly adapt to changing priorities as needed
- Coordinate meetings and arrange catering services as necessary

Technical and Functional
- Excellent PC skills including Internet and Microsoft Outlook experience required
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Must be able to multi-task with great attention to detail
- Proficiency in all Sales tools in order to handle job functions; Business Objects, Quest Analytics, and SalesForce (CRM) are highly desired.
- Highly ambitious and proactive attitude towards workload and handling high-pressure situations
- Must have a high level of interpersonal skills along with both written and verbal communication skills
- Must be reliable and dependable
