We are excited to announce our 2025 Summer Internship program!
Our summer internship program runs from Monday, June 9th, to Friday, August 1st. The program is hybrid, with in-office work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and remote work on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and we provide all necessary equipment to help you succeed in your role.
As an intern, you will work on real business projects, gaining exposure to various aspects of the company and having the opportunity to make an impact. You will also connect with Delta Dental employees across different business functions, helping you expand your professional network. Throughout the eight-week program, we’ll assist with resume and LinkedIn profile development and provide you with a LinkedIn Learning license. Interns will meet weekly to share experiences and learn from our business leaders. At the end of the program, interns will have the chance to have lunch with Delta Dental’s CEO.
Interns will be compensated at a rate of $20–$22 per hour, depending on experience.

Job Summary
A Professional Services intern will support the Professional Services team and the provider’s participation journey. Handles projects as it relates to license verification, credentialing and directory listings, general policies and procedures and other department functions.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Support initial and re-credentialing workflow
- Collect data of business owner licensure and race/ethnicity in ICE (Interactive Claims Enterprise)
- Identify network gaps between Delta Dental technology systems (ICE/DXC/Flagship*) systems
- Field phone calls and effectively resolving them
- Verify Primary Source of licensure(s)
- Review payment modalities and changes to participation in Monday.com
- Review and recommend Participating Dentist handbook efficiencies between the DDNJ (Delta Dental New Jersey) vs DDPA (Delta Dental Plan Association)
- Assess and recommend phone and email bounceback efficiency opportunities

Experience, Education and Certifications Required
Experience/Education Required
1-3 years of relevant experience or university course work, with a particular interest in Public Health, Business Administration or Compliance or Health Science, is a nice to have.
