Position Description : At Delta Digital, we're building a portfolio of media brands focusing on informing and entertaining people in pursuit of their passions. We are looking for a media sales professional to focus on our Outdoor vertical.
The Account Executive will report into the Head of Outdoor, and will play a crucial role in managing and supporting the companys advertising operations across the Outdoor media portfolio, with a focus on Wired2fish. You also have the opportunity to cross-sell our Rapid Media brands (Paddling Mag and Kayak Angler). This includes our digital and print magazines, websites, newsletters, social media platforms, native content, event sponsorships, and any new initiatives or partnerships we develop across Delta Digital.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Planning
Help drive strategic planning for your team to increase sales and deal sizes.
Carry a book of business and work towards specific sales targets.Build and manage your sales pipeline by identifying and pursuing new business leads.Offer customized digital advertising solutions tailored to client marketing goals.Participate in sales targets and compensation planning.Provide regular reporting to management, including sales pipelines, forecasts, goals, and successes within Boostr (our CRM).Client Management & RelationshipsCultivate and expand a network of clients, maintaining strong relationships for repeat business.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring successful execution of advertising programs.Foster strong relationships with clients to drive renewals and long-term partnerships.Lead or join client meetings to pitch and close business yourself or with the sales team.Build and maintain strategic senior-level relationships, attending industry events and client meetings.Creative Solutions & Project ExecutionWork with post-sales, editorial, and marketing departments to build creative, integrated programs aligned with client goals.
Maintain a project manager role in collaboration with the post-sales team to execute large multi-media marketing programs.Lead the creation of strategic sales proposals, developing innovative concepts that align with client goals.Utilize storytelling and insights to create meaningful solutions for client objectives.Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.Collaboration & Team DevelopmentCollaborate with Wired2fish, and Delta Digital management, as well as team sales directors, to share industry knowledge and winning strategies.
Collaborate with your team to share insights, success stories, and strategies to improve overall performance.Help train and mentor media coordinator staff.Market Awareness & NetworkingStay attuned to new market trends, category insights, events, and new media opportunities.Attend virtual and in-person networking events such as tradeshows, industry meet-ups and internal team offsites.Experience
3 years of experience in media sales, or related roles, with a proven track record of success.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience within a media portfolio working with multiple brands is preferred.Experience within the outdoor / fishing industry is preferred.What we offer
