Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting surveys to determine land boundaries, topography, and other features. The Land Surveyor will work closely with project managers and other professionals to ensure that all surveying projects are completed efficiently and accurately.
We have a project with 120 miles to cover so location isn't important.
Responsibilities
- Conduct land surveys using advanced surveying equipment and techniques.
- Analyze survey data and prepare detailed reports for clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with civil engineers and architects to provide accurate land measurements.
- Utilize software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation for drafting and mapping purposes.
- Perform research data collection to support survey findings.
- Implement GPS technology for precise location tracking and measurements.
- Maintain detailed records of surveys, including calculations and observations.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards during all surveying activities.
Skills
- Proficiency in ArcGIS for mapping and spatial analysis.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles related to land surveying.
- Excellent mathematical skills, including algebra and geometry, for accurate calculations.
- Experience with GPS technology for land measurement tasks.
- Familiarity with 3D scanning techniques for capturing topographical data.
