Description:
Delta Fuel is looking for a hardworking, responsible individual to join our team as a Field Service Technician. This position provides a variety of routine support activities on the job site.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess, diagnose, and repair pumps on fuel tanks.
- Commit to safe work practices and demonstrate the ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- Accurately complete work orders, and other paperwork as required.
- Courteously work with supervisors, fellow employees, and customers.
- Operate Equipment on location.
- Safely use wrenches, hammers and other hand tools needed to maintain equipment.
- Assist in truck shop or roadside when needed working on big trucks and trailers.
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience in an industrial environment or oil field
- Mechanically Inclined
- Basic computer skills
- Able to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to work a rotating shift
- Able to communicate effectively with others
- Must exhibit independent thinking and be highly resourceful and capable of solving problems with little supervision
- Must be punctual, disciplined, and talented at time management
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, reference checks, drug screen, motor-vehicle report and criminal background check
- Ability to routinely lift 50 – 100 pounds
- Ability to safely climb ladders and walk on top of truck tanks
- Able to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions: extreme wind, snow, rain, heat and cold
