What are the responsibilities and job description for the LifeSkills Training Project Coordinator position at Delta Health Alliance?
The Project Coordinator will provide hands-on oversight of the day-to-day operations of the LifeSkills Training program at the designated sites. The LifeSkills Training program is an evidence-based curriculum which is designed to promote mental health and positive youth development. This program helps students resist drug, alcohol, and tobacco use while reducing other risky behaviors. The program lessons are delivered to students in the classroom. Sessions are approximately 40-50 minutes in length. The number of lessons depends on the grade-level which ranges from elementary to middle school aged students. The coordinator will be the primary point of contact for the program and will assist in the overall implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of the program, reporting to the DHA Program Manager any difficulties or successes, while remaining aligned with the work plans and strategies of the program and goals of Delta Health Alliance.
MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- A. or B.S. degree preferred.
- One year of related experience preferred.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently toward goals and timelines.
- Must have a valid Mississippi Driver’s License, proof of insurance, and must provide personal vehicle to travel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Execute program scope, goals, and deliverables with assistance of program leadership.
- Implement and monitor timelines.
- Manage all school locations and inform the program staff of the progress and status of the program.
- Plan and implement classes to students based on the LifeSkills Training Program.
- Implement pre/post surveys with participants at all site locations.
- Enter program data in a timely manner in DHA reporting system.
- Other duties as assigned.
