What are the responsibilities and job description for the Standing Seam Operator and Metal Production Worker position at Delta Metals, LLC?
Summary
Under the direct supervision of Lamoni Production Manager, this position will assist with production of standing seam metal at job sites and at our manufacturing facilities. This position will also assist with production and warehousing of various products in the metal roofing and siding industry.
Essential Functions

- Operation of standing seam machine
- Using CDL, drive to customer job sites
- Operation of rollforming, trim slitting and bending equipment
- Safe operations of forklift
- Assist customers with orders and pickups in a kind and courteous manner
- Lifting of heavy boxes and metal trims
- Clean and maintain equipment and shop area
- Build crates and panel frames for materials to be transported
- Provide the upmost professionalism and customer service
- Maintain all required certifications required by DOT (Department of Transportation)
- Maintain and protect all property in clean presentable condition
- Perform any other task assigned to improve operations
- Operate DOT mandated ELOG (Electronic Logging Device)

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional production plant with loud machinery and sensitive computerized equipment. This job also operates on job sites as needed.
Physical Demands
This role requires long hours standing and walking on concrete floors. It also requires the ability to lift heavy items. Must be able to function on fast paced demand.
Travel
When doing job site production and deliveries, the employee will operate under a “day haul” operation for the most part, but the load may require the driver to travel outside of the HOS (Hours of Service) per DOT regulations and stay the night away from home. Such expense will be covered by Delta Metals LLC.
Required Education and Experience
- Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug screening
- Class A CDL with air brakes and tractor trailer endorsements

- One-year related experience
