The primary objective of the Quality Control Technician is to identify and rectify defects or deviations from established quality criteria to maintain high product quality. This role will involve working closely with production teams to ensure that all manufacturing processes meet strict quality guidelines.

The 3rd shift is Monday to Friday, rotating weekly based on the area assigned:

Job Overview:
The Quality Control Technician — Manufacturing will play a critical role in ensuring that products are packaged correctly and meet quality standards before they are shipped to customers. The primary objective of the Quality Control Technician is to identify and rectify defects or deviations from established quality criteria to maintain high product quality. This role will involve working closely with production teams to ensure that all manufacturing processes meet strict quality guidelines.
Shift Details:
The 3rd shift is Monday to Friday, rotating weekly based on the area assigned:
- One specific area requires a 6pm to 6am shift, which will occur twice a month.
- For the other weeks, the shift will be from 10pm to 6:30am. Pay rate: $20 to $24 per hour, depending on experience.
- Perform thorough inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products to detect defects, non-conformities, and deviations from quality standards.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and correct manufacturing processes.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and quality expectations before packaging.
- Ensure products are packaged correctly and meet quality standards prior to shipment to customers.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of inspections, test results, and any deviations from quality standards.
- Reject all products and materials that do not meet quality expectations.
- Collect and sample production batches to verify they meet established quality standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest changes to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Regularly calibrate inspection and testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Investigate the root causes of quality issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct internal audits of manufacturing processes to ensure ongoing compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with production staff, quality assurance teams, and management to ensure alignment on quality goals and expectations.
- Ensure all quality control activities are carried out safely and in compliance with safety protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Certification in quality control (preferred).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong math, technical, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of quality control standards and testing techniques.
- Ability to work independently while being part of a team.
