Marketing Specialist

This position is ONSITE, no remote work available. Must be local to the area

Overview: Marketing Specialist will identify opportunities to increase penetration with existing customers and build new customers. Analyzing data from customer portals to develop new sales and product strategies, pricing strategies and new product opportunities will be a primary focus of the job. This role is a blend of core marketing tasks along with some direct contact with our customer base of major U.S. big box retail outlets. A creative thinker able to see opportunity but also versed in basic advertising tactics will manage our social media and advertising activity.

Key Duties

· Develop pricing strategies for e-commerce retailers

· Develop SEO and SEM strategies and tactics

· Work with internal creative team to oversee all aspects of marketing activity including web promotions, website banner ads, magazine advertising and all brand support work.

· Write and edit product content to be used on e-commerce websites

· Support all areas of marketing, media, email, keyword search, etc.

· Build knowledge of the power tools category, understanding the offerings in all big box retailers and online.

Education and Experience

· 4 year college degree in relevant field

· 2 years of experience in marketing/sales

· Overall business acumen and ability to understand marketing strategies utilized by our big box customers

· Ability to write basic features and benefits copy for our products

· Knowledge of or basic interest in woodworking and construction type tools

· Experience with MS Office apps and outside portals

· Ability to work independently and alongside colleagues in our office
