The Job
Delta Property Tax Advisors is looking for a Property Tax Consultant with expertise in commercial real estate valuation and a track record in managing multi-state property tax appeals and negotiations.
The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will possess:
- Ability to develop fair market value opinions using appraisal techniques, including the income approach, cost approach and sales comparison approach.
- Experience working in multiple states.
- Experience presenting before Appraisal Review Boards.
- Proficiency in Excel is a must.
- Basic understanding of personal property tax.
- Ability to travel seasonally.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Effective caseload management and organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Research market and tax roll data to prepare value workups based on income, cost, sales and equity approaches to value.
- Meet with clients to conduct site visits.
- Assist with business personal property tax returns.
- Manage protest, negotiate values with assessors informally, and represent clients before appraisal review boards.
- Coordinate with attorneys on litigated accounts.
- Develop new business opportunities.
Compensation
Our compensation structure is based on experience and includes a base salary with commission opportunities.
Experience
- Three (3) or more years of experience in property tax or fee appraisal preferred.
- Strong real estate valuation skills and basic knowledge of personal property tax.
- Multi-state experience.
