Position Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Perform and coordinate the activities of painting and preparation of remanufactured railroad maintenance of way equipment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform preparation of parts that require painting.
- Perform painting of parts.
- Responsible for correct paint mixtures.
- Follow painting and preparation procedures/work instructions.
- Follow direction from the Foreman.
- Reports nonconforming products to the Foreman or Quality Control.
- Reports any concerns that could cause delivery issues to the Foreman.
- Responsible for the inspection of prepped and painted parts.
- Responsible for the proper cleanup and preventive maintenance on paint and preparation equipment.
- Correct utilization of appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Responsible for the safe operation of all equipment.
- Responsible for compliance with workplace policies and procedures (Quality Management System).
- All other duties assigned.
Position Requirements
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing to certify as a QTE Fork Truck Operator
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 1 year experience in painting and preparation within automotive or similar industry, preferred.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Educated in automotive or other equipment painting processes, preferred.
