Position Summary Information
Responsibilities
- Manage all administrative aspects of central DMI office, including departmental record keeping, payroll, incoming/outgoing communications, liaison with DMI faculty/staff/students.
- Maintain and balance departmental budgets, Foundation accounts, and grant budgets.
- Administrate external affairs related to events held at the DMI, such as summer camp, and recruiting.
- Supervise student employees.
- Coordinate participation in charitable contribution campaigns.
- Provide on-site tours for students, donors, and partners.
- Provide assistance to the DMI Director regarding logistics related to the work of the department.
- Attend meetings as needed and record details of meetings for dissemination.
Qualifications
- High School diploma.
- Proficient in general accounting practices and use of Excel spreadsheets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Office 365 applications.
- Proficient in the use of Adobe applications such as Acrobat.
- Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changes on short notice.
- Willingness to learn new procedures.
Salary
Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and university’s resources.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree and/or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in music business or entertainment industry studies.
- Proficient in DSU’s administrative platforms such as Banner and Argos.
- Proficient in general accounting practices and use of Excel spreadsheets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Office 365 applications.
- Proficient in the use of Adobe Acrobat.
- Graphic arts skills in Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
- Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changes on short notice.
- Willingness to learn new procedures.
