One of our clients is seeking a Youth Care Worker to provide service in Baltimore, MD.

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Provide mentorship and supervision of residents' daily activities and behavior according to established guidelines and procedures.
* Participate with coworkers as a team on implementation of treatment plans and therapeutic services.
* Ensure resident safety and collaborate with coworkers to maintain an environment that is positive, respectful, clean, and therapeutic.
* Plan and participate in off-campus resident activities and assist in the transportation of client for home visits, doctor appointments, planned recreational activities, etc
*Perform First Aid/CPR procedures and respond according to established protocols in the event of an emergency situation.
*Ensure that residents comply with required activities surrounding personal hygiene and grooming, upkeep of living areas, laundry, etc
*Serve as a mentor and role model by demonstrating compassion and understanding for feelings, opinions and experiences of others, and communicating and interacting in a manner that is honest, positive, respectful and professional
*Remain cognizant of individual resident levels/phases, privileges, restrictions and adapt interactions accordingly
*Engage in therapeutic interventions with residents within treatment parameters, while maintaining appropriate boundaries

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent
* Minimum of one (1) year experience working with youth
* Ability to complete and pass given background checks
* The ability to motivate staff and work collaboratively with staff from other programs providing the most beneficial services to the clients.
* Excellent oral, writing and listening skills.
* An ability to work independently and initiate actions to support the efforts of the staff and the clients.
* An ability to relate with clients as well as all levels of staff.
