Specific job Description

The draftsman’s specific responsibilities include generating 2D drawings or 3D models of engineered Heat Exchanger designs using CAD or similar software. This involves processing or generating prints from customer supplied material so that our core competencies of sheet metal fabrication, machining, and heavy fabrication can be carried out by the operations department. The individual should be self-motivated and be able to work alongside many specialists at Delta T Thermal Solutions. The draftsman will form part of a multidisciplinary engineering team and should be comfortable working in a team setting or solo, reporting to the Engineering Manager.

Essential Duties

· Follow specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings.

· Prepare both rough sketches and detailed work with CADD systems.

· Perform calculations for materials and weight limitations.

· Communicate with Engineers and incorporate knowledge gained into drawings.

· Prepare, review, and redraft alongside the engineering team.

· Ensure final designs meet customer approval.

· Identify and communicate potential design problems to the rest of the team.

Work Experience Requirements

· Ability to draw manually favorable, but not essential.

· Ability to work well in a team and on your own.

· Experience in computer-aided design and drafting.

Developed knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, and algebra.

Education Requirements

· High School diploma required.

Degree from a technical college preferred.
