Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 annually (plus up to 20% performance-based bonus, premium paid for onsite, and 5-10% night differential if applicable,)
Summary
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for enhancing operational efficiency by focusing exclusively on the management of loads. This role involves creating dispatch plans, assigning loads to drivers, and overseeing the execution of these plans. The Logistics Coordinator addresses issues related to pending and active loads to ensure timely deliveries and high service levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Load Management: Receive unscheduled load requests and develop optimal dispatch plans.
- Dispatch Execution: Assign loads to drivers promptly and ensure effective communication.
- Active Monitoring: Oversee active loads, proactively resolving any operational issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Driver Support Specialists and CSRs to address load-related concerns impacting drivers and deliveries.
- Performance Optimization: Aim to maximize the number of loads delivered with a focus on on-time service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in dispatch or logistics operations.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Proficiency with dispatch software and logistics management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
