Electrical Instructor

Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Instructor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise and at least 3 years of experience in the electrical field. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction to students, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their respective fields. The Instructor will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment while adhering to industry standards.

This position will work Monday thru Thursday from 5:30pm to 11:30pm.

Duties

• Teaching classes in both a classroom and lab environment.
• Maintaining a good working releationship with industry employers.
• Assisting graduates with placement in their related career field.
• Staying up to date with industry standards.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience as an electrician.
• Preferred experience in Industrial/Commercial/Maintenance applications.
• Working knowledge of electrical codes and code book.
• Have strong organizational skills and a genuine sensitivity to the needs of the students.
• Knowledgeable of the course content and proficient in all skills taught within the program.
• Competent, as evidence by satisfactory performance of skills, of all competencies taught in curriculum.
• Preperation in educational theory and techniques preferred. This can include formal education, continuing education and/or in-service education.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are a must.
• Computer proficiency.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Have a professional attitude and manner that reflects the high standards of MTI and the program you represent.
