600,000 customers and become one of the leading natural gas providers in Louisiana and Mississippi and among the top 40 providers in the United States.
In 2023, Entergy announced that it had entered into an agreement with Delta Utilities to sell its Louisiana gas distribution business. The natural gas utility currently serves more than 200,000 customers across East Baton Rouge and Orleans parishes. In February 2024, Delta Utilities entered into an agreement with CenterPoint Energy to acquire its Louisiana and Mississippi natural gas businesses, which currently serve approximately 381,000 customers. Once the transactions are complete, Entergy's Louisiana natural gas operations and CenterPoint Energy's Louisiana and Mississippi natural gas systems will be operated by Delta Utilities. Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with Delta Utilities' business objectives and growth plans.
- Lead marketing efforts around service transitions, helping to ensure smooth customer experiences during utility provider changes.
- Oversee the development of compelling messaging that clearly communicates Delta's value proposition and service benefits.
- Direct the creation of marketing materials, including digital content, direct mail, advertising, and customer communications.
- Collaborate with customer service teams to ensure consistent messaging and positive customer experiences.
- Design and implement market research initiatives to better understand customer needs and competitive landscape.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align marketing strategies with overall business goals.
- Track marketing performance using relevant KPIs and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.
- Represent Delta Utilities at industry events, community forums and other events.
Minimum education required of the position
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field.
- 10 years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
- Experience in utilities, energy, or related regulated industries strongly preferred
- Proven track record developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns, particularly during business transitions
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, traditional media, and integrated marketing approaches
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex utility information into clear customer messaging
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making approach
