POSTION OVERVIEW
Delta Utilities is seeking a benefits administrator to support and administer the company’s employee benefits programs, ensuring offerings are competitive, compliant, and align with employee needs. This role is a full-time position based in New Orleans, Louisiana.
This individual will be responsible for administering Delta Utilities’ health, retirement, and wellness programs, serving as a knowledgeable resource for employees, and ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of benefits processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer Support all employee benefits programs, including health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), disability, and wellness programs
- Manage Oversee the open enrollment process, including coordinating with vendors, communicating changes to employees, and ensuring seamless enrollment
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and HIPAA
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits options, eligibility, and claims processes, providing excellent customer service and timely follow-up
- Liaise with external benefits providers, insurance brokers, and other third-party administrators to resolve issues and optimize service
- Conduct regular audits of benefits records, including employee eligibility, benefits deductions, and billing to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate benefits deductions and reporting
- Support benefits communications by preparing materials, presentations, and updates to inform employees of benefits plans and updates
- Assist in designing and implementing wellness programs and initiatives that support employee health and wellbeing
- Track, analyze, and report on benefits utilization, costs, and trends to identify opportunities for program enhancements

Headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana, the utility will serve nearly 600,000 customers and become one of the leading natural gas providers in Louisiana and Mississippi and among the top 40 providers in the United States.
In 2023, Entergy announced that it had entered into an agreement with Delta Utilities to sell its Louisiana gas distribution business. The natural gas utility currently serves more than 200,000 customers across East Baton Rouge and Orleans parishes. In February 2024, Delta Utilities entered into an agreement with CenterPoint Energy to acquire its Louisiana and Mississippi natural gas businesses, which currently serve approximately 381,000 customers. Once the transactions are complete, Entergy's Louisiana natural gas operations and CenterPoint Energy's Louisiana and Mississippi natural gas systems will be operated by Delta Utilities. Learn more :
