Hours: 8:30 AM – 5 PM (includes 30 minute paid lunch)
Salary Range: $60,000 and up*

It specializes in providing non-emergent transportation services to the elderly, underprivileged, and disabled population to medical, non-medical, and other necessary appointments. This role will be in service to both ReliaRide and Delta V Management, LLC., as Delta V Management, LLC. currently manages the day-to-day operations of ReliaRide. This role could expand to include the same responsibilities for other businesses that current Delta V Management, LLC. ownership owns in the future should the need/desire arise.
Job Description:
The Accounting Associate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks that support the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of general accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently. This role emphasizes general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, transaction processing, financial statement preparation, budgeting and forecasting, payroll management, regulation & compliance, and accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) management.
Key Responsibilities (included but not limited to):
- General Ledger Maintenance: Accurately record all transactions in the general ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and internal policies.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Transaction Processing: Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely payments and collections. Analyze cash flow and process accounts payable responsibly to ensure financial stability during times of limited financial capital (i.e., times of growth and expenditure).
- Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist with the creation and tracking of budgets, providing regular updates and reports to the management team.
- Payroll Management: Support the payroll process, ensuring accuracy in employee compensation and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Regulation & Compliance: Ensure the organization adheres to non-profit financial regulations and relevant compliance requirements.
- A/P and A/R Management: Manage the accounts payable and receivable cycles, including ensuring timely processing and addressing any discrepancies. Manage A/R reporting ensuring that overdue invoices do not exceed 90 days. Own the communication process with vendors who have overdue invoices; create action plans to ensure overdue invoices close promptly.
Requirements:

Education:
- Required: Associates degree in accounting from an accredited university.
- Preferred: Bachelors degree in accounting from an accredited university.

Required Experience & Technical Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience using QuickBooks Online (required).
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online

Preferred Experience & Technical Skills (in addition to above):
- Minimum of 1 year experience in ADP Workforce Now
- Strong familiarity with financial accounting and reporting standards.
- 1-2 years of experience in non-profit accounting and audit support
- Strong Excel skills, including the ability to work with formulas and data analysis.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, non-profit financial regulations, and audit processes.
