Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, diagnosing and treating visual disorders, and ensuring the highest level of patient care. Private practice setting in a up and coming area. New grads welcome to apply. Pay dependent on experience.

Duties

• Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose eye conditions
• Prescribe corrective lenses and other treatments based on patient needs
• Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular eye exams
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and examination results
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
• Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies
• Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques during examinations and procedures
• Manage pediatric patients with appropriate care strategies

Skills

• Proficiency in medical terminology related to eye care
• Experience in patient care with a focus on building rapport and trust
• Ability to perform vital signs assessments as part of the examination process
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality
• Competence in aseptic techniques for safe examination practices
• Sales skills to effectively communicate product recommendations to patients
• Understanding of pediatric optometry for managing younger patients
