What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aircraft Inspector- Dept# 523 position at Delta?
The Aircraft Inspector will be responsible for performing Visual, Borescope, and NDT ( non-destructive testing ) inspection of aircraft and/or aircraft parts, engines and components in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and Delta's manuals and specifications. Performs inspection or buyback of work to assure that the workmanship, methods and materials used are in conformity with FAA and Delta's manuals and specifications. Maintains current knowledge of all applicable FAA and Delta rules and regulations. Maintains qualification on inspection methods and tasks (e.g., Visual, Preflight, RII, NDT Inspection) on all aircraft types operated by Delta and customer equipment. Completes all work cards and documents in a legible, detailed and comprehensive manner. Practices safety conscious behavior in all operational processes and procedures. Maintaining current knowledge of applicable procedures, methods and specifications.
