Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide meal preparation and cooking services tailored to dietary needs.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort.
- Monitor and document clients' health status, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Assist with medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Provide memory care support for clients experiencing cognitive challenges such as dementia.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all systems are functioning properly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home community care or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare practices is advantageous.
- Certification in CPR is required to ensure client safety during emergencies.
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques is a plus for providing specialized support.
- Strong cooking skills for meal preparation that meets nutritional guidelines.
