You will have the opportunity to:
- Build a comfortable routine within each of your regularly scheduled high school classes
- Create an engaging classroom environment that is conducive to learning, encourages student interest, and maintains standards of behavior
- Tailor a program of study to meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of your students, using District-approved curriculum
- Integrate modern technology into lesson design through Google Classroom and a one-to-one student technology ratio
- Demonstrate higher order thinking skills by embedding instruction with high-level depth-of-knowledge questioning techniques
- Guide learning by establishing objectives for lessons, units, and projects, maintain records of progress, and adjust instruction accordingly to maximize student learning
- Collaborate with colleagues in focused learning teams, coordinate with fellow subject-area teachers, and communicate with students and parents to further education-related goals
A qualified candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree
- Michigan teaching certification with secondary endorsements in any of the following subject areas:
- Biology (DA)
- Physics (DE)
- Chemistry (DC)
