Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, maintaining the bar area, and ensuring that guests have an enjoyable experience. Your expertise in various drink recipes and ability to engage with patrons will contribute to the overall atmosphere of our establishment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Process cash handling transactions accurately, including opening and closing tabs for guests.
- Engage with customers, providing recommendations on drinks and responding to inquiries about the menu.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service during busy periods, including catering events or banquets.
- Monitor inventory levels of liquor, mixers, and supplies; assist in ordering as needed.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new drink recipes, and techniques to enhance guest experiences.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a bartender or in food service/hospitality is preferred.
- Proficiency with POS systems; experience with Cake POS is a plus.
- Strong cash handling skills with basic math proficiency for accurate transactions.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment typical of nightclubs or busy bars.
- Knowledge of brewing techniques is beneficial but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor when interacting with guests.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
