Looking for a Senior Cloud Software Engineer to build our next generation software solutions for our customers, agents, and employees. We are focused on Microsoft Azure cloud technologies for green field custom software development, and are looking for experienced, passionate software engineers to create, evangelize, and implement these new software architectures. This individual will build and deploy cutting edge, cloud-first solutions that delight our customers.
Responsibilities
- College degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field or work equivalent
- 5 years hands-on software engineering experience using modern software engineering technologies, tools, best practices, and design patterns
- Strong understanding of a variety of full stack software engineering platforms and languages, e.g. C# / ASP, Angular / React, JavaScript / Node.js
- Experience with cloud-first architectures and related Azure services, e.g. Container Apps, API Management / App Gateway, Key Vault, App Services, Logic Apps, SQL MI
- Experience operating complex technology solutions, managing service interruptions, triaging defects, troubleshooting and debugging issues
- Familiarity with modern cloud-native patterns principles, e.g. Twelve-Factor Apps, Service Oriented Architectures / microservices / REST, DevOps, Continuous Deployment, and Site Reliability Engineering
- Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code patterns and related technologies e.g. Bicep, ARM, Terraform
- Strong understanding of cloud-native security and networking patterns and technologies
- Ability to mentor and coach other software engineers and act as a technical leader for an agile product team
- Experience working on agile teams in a complex, scaled technology environment
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical team members and stakeholders
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to self-manage priorities and balance across multiple competing objectives simultaneously
- Experience with SDLC and change management processes in a highly controlled and regulated environment (e.g. Property Casualty insurance, Financial Services) is preferred

Pay: $118,118.27 - $142,249.97 per year
