Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Instructional Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a strong background in instructional design and curriculum development. This role involves collaborating with educators to enhance teaching practices, improve student learning outcomes, and implement effective learning technologies. The Instructional Coach will provide support in utilizing Learning Management Systems (LMS) and developing engaging educational content.
Responsibilities
*Schedule coaching conversations regularly.
* Conduct classroom walk-throughs before coaching conversations.
* Support the instructional development of all teachers in understanding the CCSS
curriculum and varied assessments, the Framework for Teaching, and data
analysis.
* Provide direction and coordination for how the curriculum is taught consistent
with District initiatives and recognized best instructional practices
Collaborate with Classroom Teachers to Conduct Coaching Cycles
* Provide support to teachers in developing student-centered goals with success
criteria.
* Assist teachers with planning and pacing lessons, developing
differentiated lessons, and selecting best practices to meet the needs of
their students.
* Informally observe (non-evaluative) lessons and provide feedback for a teacher’s
professional growth and students’ success.
* Facilitate coaching plans with teachers to ensure student improvement.
* Assist in analyzing, and visually depicting, data related to assessments aligned with
coaching cycle goals.
Monitor Delwood’s MTSS System
* Work with teachers to build an intervention system that works for them,
utilizing paraprofessionals when needed.
* Work closely with the interventionist(s) to monitor student progress for those
most at risk.
* Assist teachers with resources, materials, tools, information, etc. to support
classroom instruction and planning, including new resources.
* Monitor the fidelity of intervention delivery, conducting fidelity checks as
needed.
Facilitate PLCs
* Support teachers and administrators in using data to improve instruction on all
levels.
* Help organize and facilitate professional development.
* Submit a monthly coaching log and any pertinent data requests/coaching
documentation to the building principal.
Building Leadership Team Member
* Based on data, assist in determining the areas of need and providing leadership for
professional development within the building, to ensure that the entire building
(staff, parents, community members, and students) becomes a learning community.
* Attend monthly meetings to look at system-wide issues and what can
be done to support those issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience in instructional coaching or a related educational role.
- Experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators to foster a positive learning environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Pay: $52,606.00 - $62,570.00 per year
