As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will ensure our products meet company, customer, and production quality standards. You will perform manual and automated tests, conduct corrective actions, process audits, and inspections of components and assemblies. Additionally, you will write technical reports, test and analyze warranty returns, gather and analyze data, and work with operations and engineering teams to advance site operational goals and initiatives.

Position Overview
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will ensure our products meet company, customer, and production quality standards. You will perform manual and automated tests, conduct corrective actions, process audits, and inspections of components and assemblies. Additionally, you will write technical reports, test and analyze warranty returns, gather and analyze data, and work with operations and engineering teams to advance site operational goals and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities And Duties
- Test Planning and Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases. Conduct manual and automated quality inspections and tests.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects. Collaborate with developers to reproduce and fix issues. Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions, verifying effectiveness through data analysis.
- Quality Metrics and Reporting: Monitor and report on key quality metrics. Provide regular updates on testing progress and quality status to stakeholders.
- Process Improvement and Audits: Participate in root cause analysis and process improvements. Recommend and implement process improvements. Audit internal processes for compliance with standards.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards. Effectively communicate quality concerns and resolve complaints.
- Inspection and Testing: Inspect and test materials and products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications. Perform first article inspections and analyze warranty claims.
- Training and Support: Train staff on measuring practices and equipment use. Facilitate document retention as defined by the organization. Support customer quality activities (e.g., FMEA, Control Plans, Process Flows).
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or associate's degree with relevant experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365; advanced Excel and MRP/ERP software experience (preferred).
- Experience with CMM and quality hand tools (preferred).
- ASQ certification (preferred).
- Proven experience with QA methodologies and tools.
- Experience with automated testing tools.
- Familiarity with quality assurance techniques and SOPs.
- Technical writing skills (preferred).
- Advanced mechanical, technical, and mathematical aptitude.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Excellent observation, process analysis, and improving business practice skills.
- Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends and root causes of issues.
