Production Supervisor

DEMA Engineering Co. has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Supervisor to join our Operations Team at our Gerald Industries facility located in Gerald, MO. Our Production Supervisor will be responsible for the oversight of manufacturing processes to ensure production is successful. Our ideal candidate will directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers, increasing the levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials, and machines.

This position will report to the Plant Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides day-to-day oversight of various plant functions including scheduling, quality, on-time delivery, safety, employee relations, performance measures, and customer satisfaction
• Provides leadership for employees through effective communications, coaching, training, counseling, and disciplining of employees
• Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals
• Monitors scheduled workloads and priorities, facilitating and communicating needs for adjustments
• Inspects materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
• Adheres to and enforces policies and procedures
• Answers production questions and responds to production requests
• Identifies, recommends, and implements changes to improve productivity and reduce costs
• Maintains safe and clean work environment
• Resolves problems and identifies system improvements, recommending procedures to ensure products conform to established customer and company quality standards
• Serves as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, and administering policies, and helping resolve work-related concerns

Overall Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong leadership skills including willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction
• Ability to deal calmly and effectively with high stress situations
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and adaptable; able to work independently within a team focused environment and adjusting actions in relation to others' actions
• Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities
• Excellent problem solving and judgement skills with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
• Exceptional integrity and dependability skills
• Mechanical and technical aptitude; experience using mechanic tools, basic hand tools, and equipment maintenance knowledge preferred
• Safety mindset and focus on quality control
• Broad level of safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations, policies, and procedures
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft 365 software; advanced Excel skills preferred
• MRP/ERP software experience preferred
