Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary sales contact for customers and prospects in the Northeast Territory (PA, MD, NJ, NY, CT, MA, RI, NH, VT, ME, and Ontario, Quebec).
- Manage sales for regional customers, including OEMs and distributors in fields like water quality, car washing, medical devices, food and beverage automation, temperature and process control, and agriculture.
- Achieve sales targets by developing new customers and markets and growing existing customers.
- Train customers on company products and applications and troubleshooting problems as required.
- Collaborate with sales leaders, marketing managers, and engineering managers to build stronger customer relationships, develop new products/ideas, and solve customer problems.
- Travel up to 50% of the time to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or five years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, bachelor's degree plus experience preferred.
- 5 years of B2B sales and sales management experience, with a focus on OEM-heavy markets and establishing distribution partners, strongly preferred.
- Strong relationship-building, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to recommend creative solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively at all levels of an organization.
- Knowledge and effective utilization of sales principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products.
- Relevant product and industry knowledge, including industrial solenoid valves, chemical injectors, and industrial systems.
- Experience in car wash, food and beverage, OEM, and/or agricultural industries a plus.
- Technical aptitude and willingness to learn about different markets.
- Outstanding time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft 365 and CRM software.
- Ability to maintain a safe driving record and willingness to travel by air as needed.
