ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Assistant to join our team. As a Project Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong project coordination skills and a passion for the construction industry.
- Responsible for assisting preconstruction/ estimating department and active projects under construction.
- Responsible for working with the sales team to ensure a new project set-up in ERP.
- Responsible for project set-up and follow-up.
- Ensures necessary documents have been procured.
- Assist department in all steps of the project from preconstruction to close out.
- Assist in handling Procore, PlanGrid, and other technology programs as used on projects.
- Organized individual to manage RFCO’s, change orders, revisions, schedule needs, and logistics.
- Participate in layouts, coordination meeting with PM and superintendents.
- Handle preconstruction/operation submittals and shop drawing.
- Maintain and create Smartsheets and forms as needed.
- Enter purchase orders for HVAC Material.
- Overseeing the close-out process, close-out records, warranties, as-builts, operations and maintenance manuals, attic stock, and spare parts, and evaluating information to ensure compliance with contract documents.
- Assist in preparing RIF’s.
- Unassisted and have the physical ability to visit project team in the field.
- Assist with plumbing/HVAC department preconstruction and estimating analysis, take off, shop drawings preparations and bids.
- Work with Project Managers to eliminate blockers.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Enter invoices for HVAC Subcontractor payments.
- Work with warehouse staff to schedule material deliveries to HVAC projects.
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
- High School degree required.
- Prefer construction experience.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
- Microsoft Office at least one (1) year.
- Construction experience is preferred for two (2) years.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excel
- Proficient in Outlook & Email Communication
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour
