Overview
The National Education and Training Specialist has the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the success of Oticon. This individual is responsible for delivering training to staff internally (e.g. through new hire onboarding) and customers externally (e.g. hearing care professionals from Demant’s sister companies and independent sales channel).
The ideal candidate is an audiologist and a dynamic presenter who has demonstrated expertise in delivering training through a variety of medium, including virtual (live and self-paced) and in-person. The National Education and Training Specialist must also be comfortable delivering training to large groups (can range from 10-100 ) and providing more individualized coaching to hearing care professionals one-on-one.
Responsibilities
- Provides virtual and in-person training and education for customers on Oticon products, accessories and technologies.
- Provides virtual, self-paced training on online educational portals such as AudiologyOnline.
- Assists with corporate onboarding program for employees including but not limited to providing an overview of the product philosophy, fitting rationale and core technologies within the product portfolio
- Ensures that Account Managers, Field Trainers and other customer facing employees have the necessary information on the activity of the customers by documenting all training, phone calls and contacts through Salesforce.
- Maintains a positive experience with every contact to develop long term customer relationships.
- Measures the effectiveness and impact of training and uses the data to continuously improve training delivery.
- Helps to review and provides inputs in the development of effective training materials in various formats (digital, powerpoint, audio, etc.).
- Communicates with customers and Demant staff within the following standards:
- Voice-mail and E-mail returned within 1 day.
- Call reporting sent within 2 days.
- Expense reports and special information requests sent within 7 business days.
- May perform miscellaneous tasks/projects as directed by manager.
Qualifications
- Au.D. required.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in delivering presentations, virtually and in-person, including strong knowledge on how remote modality differs from in-person training.
- Prior experience in delivering in-person training in small and large settings strongly preferred.
- Audiologist with 2 years' experience and a strong clinical background in hearing aid dispensing, instrument verification and best practices
- Highly proficient in using various software programs, especially MS office.
- Strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
- Must be able to prioritize and organize planning with a national scope.
- A solid understanding of how hearing healthcare clinics operate and drive revenue.
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
- High energy, enthusiastic, motivational training/ coaching style.
- Knowledge and experience in using remote training/ meeting software (e.g. GotoMeeting, MS Teams, Zoom, etc) strongly preferred.
- Able to travel up to 50%.
