Job Description: POOL SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Department: Service & Repair

Reports To: Service Manager

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Clean, maintain & repair client swimming pools/equipment while adhering to all policies and procedures. Also, responsible for installation of swimming pool equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Complete all tasks required to clean and maintain a swimming pool while adhering to all policies and procedures.
• Complete all documentation accurately and legibly on workorders and on the on-site logs.
• Communicate regularly with customers by following the company’s communication guidelines.
• Learn and adhere to all policy and procedures associated with operating and maintaining a company vehicle.
• Learn and adhere to all company policy and procedures.
• Identify and acquire all material goods required for the maintenance of the swimming pool for your customers while adhering to company policy and procedure.

• Ability to learn the various disciplines required to perform the job such as plumbing, water chemistry, basic electrical, hydraulics, and proper pool operation.
• Ability to apply the skills learned within each discipline to complete the job.
• Individual must be able to meet the physical rigors of the job associated with lifting and working in adverse climates.
• Be able to bend and twist body to complete the work as needed.
• Be able to acquire and use steel toe boots while performing the job. (Mandatory for Safety)
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently without direct supervision.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Basic education

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Strong English and communication skills required

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Basic math skills

REASONING ABILITY

• Ability to determine if work needs to be performed or to what extent work is required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Valid California driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record. No points or tickets.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds following safety guidelines found in the company safety course.

• The position requires an individual to work outside, often without shelter from sun and rain.
• Must be able to work outside under a wide range of weather temperatures.
• Must be able to work outside in dry and wet conditions
• The individual will drive a company truck thus subject to conditions of driving. Examples include: motor vehicle traffic congestion, pedestrians and all motor vehicle laws.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $37,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
