Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cable Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage cabling systems. This role requires a strong understanding of computer networking and the ability to work independently in various field service environments. The Cable Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that our telecommunications infrastructure operates efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot low voltage cabling systems for telecommunications and networking applications.
  • Conduct network installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Utilize hand tools and voltmeters to perform electrical work related to cabling systems.
  • Provide field service support, addressing customer concerns and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Document all work performed, including service reports and installation details for future reference.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in cabling technology to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in cabling (Cat6, Fiber Optics,Etc) preferably as a service technician in the telecommunications or networking field.
  • Strong knowledge of low voltage systems and computer networking principles.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field service environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems is a plus, along with any relevant certifications in telecommunications or networking.

Pay: $26.00 - $32.10 per hour
