Accounting and Audit Manager

Job Summary:

DSWD is currently seeking an Accounting and Audit Manager for its CPA firm located in Frankfort, IL. The Accounting and Audit Manager will demonstrate a strong ability to lead engagements in accounting, audit and assurance and will serve as the primary reviewer of certain audits at the firm. The chosen applicant for this position will maintain both the integrity of our firm and our clients by upholding our company core values.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

· Performs detailed review procedures on audited statements

· Performs other accounting, auditing, and consulting duties as needed on engagements

· Self-starter and team player

· Recognizes potential problem areas in specific engagements and reacts accordingly

· Facilitates the engagement planning process

· Identifies with more complicated segments of audit and accounting engagements

· Responsible for reviewing and approving client audits

· Responsible for assisting and delegating responsibility and jobs to team members

Required Skills & Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Team player that can adapt

· Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to details

· Understanding and ability to adhere to audit and accounting standards

· Ability to lead and manage others

· Ability to meet critical deadlines

Education & Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

· Master’s degree in Accounting desired

· CPA required

· Four or more recent years of experience in public accounting and auditing

· Strong accounting and analytical skills

· Strong computer knowledge: proficient in audit software and MS Office Suite

· Proven ability to work well with others and find solutions to audit related matters

Salary:

· Salary for Accounting and Audit Manager is commensurate with experience

Pay: $92,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
