Summary Description
DeMaria is seeking a Mechanic to join our team! Responsible for machine and vehicle maintenance, inventory, and deliveries. Will report to the Yard Superintendent. Other responsibilities as required.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Follow all DeMaria processes and procedures as outlined in the corporate manual
- Ability to work as a team member and foster a cooperative work environment
- Assist with job starts
- Daily job site deliveries
- Diagnosing and fixing issues with fleet vehicles
- Fixing small engines
- Ordering parts
- Other responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
- At minimum chauffeur license required
- High School Graduate or GED
- Able to understand verbal and written instructions
- Familiar with fixing small engines such as trowel machines, generators, and vibrascreeds
- Familiar with diagnosing or fixing issues with fleet vehicles
- How to order the correct parts from vendors and websites
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in construction
- Must be alert, have good judgment, and be physically strong and in good health
- Profound knowledge of safe work practices

Physical Requirements:
- Able to handle demands of the job including heavy lifting, stooping, carrying, and bending
- Able to lift and manipulate objects 55-80 lbs.
- Able to perform work involving prolonged periods of standing, stooping, reaching, crawling, and climbing
- Must have manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, good physical fitness, and sense of balance
- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and movement of the whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
- Possible exposure to hazardous materials and fumes
